In 2011, the Darling Harbour Jazz and Blues Festival will celebrate its 21st birthday with SAXOPHONY-an attempt to achieve the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest saxophone ensemble.
The existing record consisted of 918 participants, led by conductor Jin-Shin You, at the Taizhong Jazz Festival in Taiwan in 2008.
To beat the record the festival needs saxophonists from across Sydney, New South Wales and indeed Australia to join in.
