Term 3 2016 CLASAX events

Friday September 23rd: Junior CLASAX Day with Ben Snowdon and Daniel Nealon at Highvale Primary School, Glen Waverley.

This day is for all clarinet and saxophone students who range from beginners to AMEB Grade 4 standard . Students will spend the day as part of an ensemble, led by educators and single reed players Ben Snowdon and Daniel Nealon. Activities will include:

  • Workshops on breathing, tonguing and other techniques.
  • Playing great music in small and large ensembles
  • Making new friends who play clarinet and saxophone
  • Showcasing the day’s activities in an open session for family and friends at the end of the day

Sunday 18th September- Monash University Clarinet Mega Day!

The Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music at Monash University invites all clarinet players to the Clarinet
Mega Day III. Come along for a day of all things clarinet! Featuring masterclasses with leading
professionals, orchestral excerpt class, warm up session, vendor exhibits, panel discussions, VCE
masterclasses and join in with a performance of the Monash Clarinet Mega Day Clarinet Choir.
