OZWINDS COVID-19 STATEMENT   Ozwinds would like to advise all customers and partners that we are currently monitoring the present and future situation surrounding COVID-19 and will be following all recommendations provided by the Australian Government. As such, there will be new key measures taken to ensure the safety of both customers and staff effective immediately. Furthermore, the changes and updates listed below are subject to change at any stage as we aim to be proactive in protecting not only ourselves but the wider community.    Repairs We will no longer be performing any new emergency repairs as of 18/03/20, and each instrument taken for repair is required to undergo a decontamination process before it can be safely worked upon by one of our technicians. We request that all mouthpieces are thoroughly cleaned prior to arriving in store. This will result in the turnaround of repair from start to finish being a minimum of 1 working week. Staff will also no longer test play repaired instruments. However, customers will be encouraged to test play their own instruments upon pick up to ensure proper operation.
Retail We would also like to advise our customers in Queensland that our Gold Coast store will remain closed until the 20/03/2020 to provide our staff with ample time to properly adjust to the new arrangements.

Furthermore, we have implemented a new process regarding the trial of mouthpieces. Customers will be requested to perform an initial clean of the mouthpiece themselves after use, and afterwards our staff will perform our own sterilisation procedure once the customer is finished. This ‘double-clean’ is to limit our staff’s exposure to potential infection, and we will provide all the tools necessary for our customers to perform the clean themselves.
   Online Online orders will be processed as per usual, and we encourage customers to consider purchasing smaller items from our website instead, to limit person to person contact in store.

Lastly, we would like to sincerely apologise for any inconveniences caused by the current arrangements, and we appreciate your patience during this time. These are difficult yet necessary precautions to protect both ourselves and our customers, and we want to do our best to help limit the spread of COVID-19 within the community.
