Saturday May 31st– Professional Development for Teachers
2pm-5pm $25 CLASAX members $35 non-members
This day is for teachers who work with clarinet and saxophone students of all standards, and discussion will focus on a variety of issues surrounding this, led by Mark. Certificates noting the amount of hours attended will be available for VIT requirements.
Sunday June 1st– Clarinet and Saxophone Ensemble Day
9:30am-5:30pm $50 CLASAX members $60 non-members
A day for clarinet and saxophone players of all ages (suggested minimum standard AMEB Grade 4). Bring along your instrument to play in the large massed ensemble, led by Mark! The day will also feature masterclasses, forum-style discussion panels, and a gala concert featuring Mark and the massed ensemble.
About Mark Walton

Mark Walton is a highly respected and popular figure in the Australian and New Zealand musical scene and widely acknowledged as a virtuoso clarinet and saxophone performer, inspiring teacher and charismatic musician.
Mark has held senior positions and been the guest artist in many of the leading International Musical Institutions from London to Kabul. For many years Mark held the position of Chair of Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Mark has recorded numerous solo albums, written and compiled over 200 hundred music publications and performed in many parts of the world. He is also regarded as a leading authority and pioneer in Distance Instrumental Music Education and currently he teaches students in several different countries.
